Once again a Rich Brook's team comes out completely unprepared to play.

So far, I have seen nothing to show me this program has made progress. I expected UofL to win, but I expected KY to cover the spread. The game is early, but down 14-0 in the first quarter, just like last year, leads me to think this one might get out of hand and UofL won't do the same thing as last year.
I'm in wait and see mode, waiting to see if someone steps up and decides they want to play football. In terms of preperation, UofL looks in midseason form, KY looks like they have been practicing for about a week.

The problem is that Kentucky fans continually think, for some reason, that UK will actually be competitive in football. Every year folks get all pumped up, only to watch is consistently lose.
This football team is completely overmatched tonight, but hey, Louisville has built a program while UK hasn't.
This is going to be ugly....

4 years is all you get. If this does not get better, its over for Brooks. This looks like the domination that the UL fans have been bragging about.

HAHA!! Brooks thinks he has an improved squad. It's just wrong for any man to be that blind and be in a head-coaching position. Woodson looks lost...like the game is too fast for him. Archer's troops look just as lost. This could be the worst beating we've ever taken!

Yep..it is, UofL has studs all over the place, Petrino is the real deal and we can be critical of his recruiting tactics but has has built something special at UofL.

Yes..it looks like a high school team vs. a college team, are you surprised? Quite frankly I thought this would be a decent game with UofL winning by 14ish.

This is not improvement. Its as disjointed as it has been under Brooks. Outcoached, outmanned, etc.
It's not a healthy thing being a UK fan.
Woodson must sit. He is not making decisions as fast as he promised.

I am shocked frankly. I can't believe how PHYSICALLY overmatched we look. They are just physically manhandling us.

Lets hope things improve the second half. I would just stick with Curits and see where it goes. The best defense might be having an efficient Curtis making things happen with his legs and arm. I did not expect a win, so the key is to make some improvement and lace them back up next week. Hopefully, no one gets hurt.

We're the one's who are so freaking stupid to actually halfway believe anything that this man has told us. I am tired of being the joke of the state, the league, and the whole freakin country. I don't care who comes to his rescue this time....I am not attacking his character. He just cannot runa football program....period!

i think that this is the absolute worst display of football that i have ever seen. we can't block, we can't tackle. there is no way that we will be able to salvage anything out of this game. woodson nlooks worse now than he ever has a UK. put pulley in the game and lets move on from woodson. he looks lost out there. he is not making good or quick decisions out there, and he isn't that mobile to escape the pass rush of louisville. we need to do something in this game to get ready for the next one, because i don't thinkn that woodson can lead this team to very many wins this year.

I am so happy for Keenan. Woodyard has played his heart out. These two deserve nothing but the best.
UL got cocky. They deserve to be cocky, but trying to hang points on the Cats lead to that last score for UK.

I'll give some credit here for not completely folding the tent. 2 quick strikes and we get the ball first in the second half.
We still need to do something defensively to slow them down. Either that or create more to's

They did not fold. You are correct. They deserve great praise for that.
Andres looked like poop early one, but Brooks stuck with him. I thought that was wrong, but Andre and Keenan proved me wrong. The Cats need some big time breaks and the first drive of the 2nd half must be a scoring drive.

I hope our defense can have a repeat performance of last year (2nd half that is) and hopefully we can do a better job of moving the ball. Big plays are nice but now we got a couple, we need to grind it out and keep Brohm/Bush off the field.

You cannot stop an offensive that is as explosive as UL's. You can only hope to get a few stops during a half or create turnovers.
We got a few breaks towards the end of the half (questionable pass interference on the second flag) and will need several more to get back into this game.

Archer seemed to call off the blitzes in the second quarter. Is that because Bush was running down our throats like we played in the KHSAA?

Honestly, I expect UL to pick it back up in the 2nd, and us to struggle agian. We got a lot of breaks in that last 1:00

We had bad field position until the end of the half and Andre never got in a rhythm. Now, we have some momentum and we get the ball back to begin half #2. Little has not been a factor but he should be primed and ready to break some big runs. Also, we have much more depth than last year and won't be so prone to run out of gas in the fourth quarter against a Louisville that does not have near the numbers of athletes as UF or UGA.
This game is definitely not over.

Unprepared, both emotionally and game preparedness. UL is prepared both ways. I just hope he doesn't say, it's his responsibility, I'm really tired of that one.

i find myself not longing for MIKE major, but someone else, I do long for.. i am listening to johnny cash " I Still Miss Someone" I do still miss someone, but we shall see how this season plays out first. too early to start talk about other coaches or whatever, but this team is no where near improved BASED on this game, a couple of fluke plays and refs helping us out, isn't improved. we shall see...

The game was bad I know, but there were things to build on. What really was the laughing stock was Colorado losing to a I-aa school. I still have the faith we will turn things around. Then all you negative minded people at years end, when we go bowling will have nothing but praise for this staff. It is still early in the season so you can put up or you can shut up right now.:ggrin::dude::wildcatface

The time for excuses has long passed.
I could have handled a well fought loss, but this team was systematically destroyed in every facet of the game.
Archer is an incompetent fool and so is Brooks if he doesn't fire Archer tonight.

Ha Ha, Our best play was calling a time out in the middle of a UL field goal. I'm so disgusted, it's another losing season with a token win over Vanderbilt or Miss State....a 23rd straight loss to Tennessee!
How could Louisville, originally a small city school, overtake a SEC school, winning five of the last six. It's just awful and a total embarrassment.
