I think it's a broken leg. Horrible accident and probably ends his Sr. season if it's broke

I t hink he played as a true freshman so he should be able to take a medical redshirt.

the way that his leg flopped around it loooks like he broke both bones in his leg.

I would assume he'd redshirt as he did play as a true freshman??? Very sad day for a great player. My prayers to him.

I feel bad for Michael, but not at all for UL. Petrino better be careful leaving his starters in while running up the score.

I had surgery for a broken Tib/Fib 17 weeks ago today. A very painful injury. I'm about 75% now. The fibula isn't that bad, as it is non weight bearing.

I wish Bush nothing but the best. I wouldn't wish this injury on anyone.

Godspeed to Mike Bush. He's a great young man and my heart goes out to him and his family. I can't imagine sitting up there in those stands and feeling completely helpless when your child is hurting like that. Get better Mike and God Bless.

I hope he gets a redshirt year. He is a KY kid and has a shot at the big time.

Get Well soon young man!

Terrible luck. The kid is a stud, reminds me of Jerome Bettis. He has great body control and quickness for a man his size.I hope he makes a full recovery and kicks butt on Sundays.

I think it's terrible for him. I don't care where you or who you play for, I don't wish injuries on people. I will wish for you to have a bad game or and off night maybe but not a broken leg. I especially wouldn't wish it on a homegrown athlete that definately can make it big time and bea real athlete.

Good luck!

I just wanted to say to EVERYONE who has Posted,

Very Classy Post.

I am going to go back to crying now.

Just a Horrible thing to happen to a Kid whos sole reason for coming back was so he and Brohm could take a crack at the NC (At Least give it a Shot, Together).

I guess Bushwill be at the Bank tommorrow,

Collecting on his $2M Insurance Policy he took out for this Season.

I'm Sick.

I would of rather EITHER TEAM got BLOWN-OUT by the other,

Than see any of the Kids get hurt.

2005 NCAA Scoring Leader Michael Bush.

This Win is a LOSS actually.

Mike,

You are a Hall of Famer in my Book.

Just announced this morning that the bone is broken in two places. I hope he can make a complete recovery. He will have a great future in the NFL.

He will recover from this, just a matter of time. IMO, he doesnt need to redshirt this year and come back, yesterday was a perfect example of why. Work on getting healthy and a degree and go on to the NFL.

One more reason not to play this game. Bad things happen all around.

Wish him the best - a special talent. Who does he remind you of?

I don't think he will be cashing that check from the insurance. This is not a career ending injury, at least I hope not.

as much as I hate, loathe, despise and have utter contempt for the jersey he wears Im truly sorry that he went down and will miss the rest of his senior season when he couldve gone the way of Lendale White, Reggie Bush and others who tapped out early for the almighty dollar. From everything Ive read and all Ive seen of him he's a good guy and Im sick that he got hurt. Get well soon.

I was listyening to the game on the radio at work when I heard the injury. Leach said is ankle was lying at a grotesque angle and it reminded him of what happened to Joe Theisman. He can get a redshirt and I hope he fully recovers from this. Good luck to you Mr. Bush. I look forward to having you on a fantasy team in the future.

I hate to see any player on any team get injured. Michael Bush's injury, though, especially hurt. I have so respected that young man from everything I have read about him. That he had returned for his senior season, rather than jumping at the opportunity to go to the NFL, made me respect him all the more.

Like others, I was so thankful that it was a broken leg and not a torn ACL. He should fully recover, and his professional career should not be negatively affected. I still regret it for him, though. I don't think I have ever felt so sad for an opposing player's injury. :(

His injury sounds just like mine. He had the Titanium rod put in today with the screws. He will have alot more intense PT than I did, but I'm still not walking normal after 4 months plus, and I can't run, not that I could before the injury.

Now, Radiated, that is just too modest of you to admit that you could not run like Michael Bush before your injury. :lol:Seriously, though, here's hoping you are fully recovered soon. :)

I'm sure most of you have now read that Keenan Burton went to the hospital to visit his best friend, Michael Bush, instead of taking the team bus home. KUDOS to Keenan Burton.
