no it is probably archer.. archer is just well liked in the coaching frat and can toll in obsecurity in the NFL and fool around with some college work.. Archer was never even good for billy the mastermind curry, so who is to think it would be any different now...

I melvin, should we think about flirting with the engaged girl in texas or give it a few more weeks, to see if this marriage will work.. i am willing to go to couple's counseling to try and salavage this marriage...

We have a year long date. At the end of the evening, we will decide whether we will call for another. If tonight is any indication, its going to be a long boring date with an ugly girl. Might want to start text messaging our next date even before the evening is over.

Remember guys, looking at our roster we are still a team with a majority of our players being either freshmen or sophmores.

Talent is not asubstitute for experience.

What excuses. I am talking about reality. I fully expect to win at least 6 games this season. But to expect us to compete at a level necessary to beat a top 15 team on the road is a bit much.

i never expected us to win, it was the fact that we came out as organized and seem to have regressed from the first game of last year, and we seem to have done nothing as an improvement from the last game last year to the first game this year. we better win six games this year or the staff will be gone.

The same excuses that have been used since Brooks has been here, it's getting old.

Most of the talent is in the junior class, IMO, with Burton, Tamme, Little, Woodson, and Woodyard.

But there's a lot of raw, young talent out there, especially on defense. I really think this will be a solid defense soon. I'm not sure if "soon" means in a few weeks, later this season, next year with a new DC, or a few years down the line when guys like Peters, Warford, Johnson, Minton, and Adams are the upperclassmen leaders.

Good post, Doug. That is the question, too, just how SOON this defense will be a good one. Will it be SOON enough? Regardless, yes, we have a lot of young defensive talent. I read that Micah Johnson will be starting Saturday, and that Corey Peters will be getting more snaps,

FWIW. As Coach Brooks said, some players they had expected to perform did not do so. Now that we have these young talented players waiting, they will be evidently quick to "pull the trigger," especially on defense.
