Lets move on..and concern ourselves with the rest of the season..The emotional albatross around our neck is what we don't need so I am glad the game is 3rd or 4th next year..

Let the uavel fans dance and sing ..We have our own problems and let's just support the kids in Blue and forget about the "National Power" down here..:ggrin:

Couldn't have said it better myself. Let's learn from this one and get on with the business of earning a bowl bid.

GO CATS!

Hey, baldcat, do you think Cal will cancel their season after being down 35-ZIP to UT, a team ranked lower than Louisville?

Where have you seen me call for cancelling the season.

I really hope I'm wrong about Brooks but I know I'm right about Archer.

There will be some coaches and possibly the head man himself gone before this season is over.

Add me to this so-ridiculous group!

To be honest, I feel TERRIBLE about how we played last night. The performance itself can simply not be defended, and Coach Brooks himself was not attempting to do so in any remote fashion. He sounded every bit as disappointed as I was with the Cats.

However, like you guys, I look forward to this game's NOT being the first game on the schedule next yearListening to the postgame call-in show last night and reading our own normally positive message board is enough for me to see that playing poorly and losing the first game of the season against our rival down the road is TOO MUCH for a lot of fans. If the loss had been to another highly ranked team, many fans would be dealing better with the loss, in my opinion. Until we get our football program built back up, playing it first is indeed a bad thing for UK, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, our downcast and totally frustrated feelings are sensed by the players and is just another potential problem for them. They already have enough problems of their own, obvious for us and the rest of the nation to see last evening.

The Louisville game is in the PAST, though. The PRECIOUS PRESENT (to which that so-revered basketball guy down the road often referred) is a new game this Saturday. What can be gained by staying down and frustrated about last night's game? Absolutely nothing, as I see it. These guys need our support even more now. What an emotional letdown it was to lose so embarrassingly to their rival the first game of the season! Why not HELP THEM GET BACK UP after a loss toa team that will probably be in the top 10 soon! It surely sounds like a better option to me, and not such a ridiculous group with which to align myself. :)

An hour before kickoff the next two Saturdays I intend to be there and supporting my team. Thanks Cardsrtoast and others.
