Great news. I can't remember when I last saw a UK team pissed off. If it has happened during Brooks reign, I sure forgot about.

I wish they had been pissed off yesterday. That would have been nice. But instead they got bitch slapped like a whore wearing a red dress on Market Street.

No.....no they are not my friend.

This team is led by imcompetents and this will be a dogfight and quite possibly a loss.

Well, Texas layed the smack-down on these guys with a 56 on the board, so we'll have to see. Did anyone see Kirk Herbstreit this morning saying how BAD Tx. St. is? If our D doesn't tighten up or show anymore intensity, then we could be in for a battle.

I think Texas played North Texas, not Texas State. Texas State won its open against Div. II Tarleton State, 27-23.

I want to see the Cats come out and establish the run (i.e., get at least 200 yards as a team, over 100 from Little), get the short and intermediate passing game going, get more WRs invovled, and have the defense hold them to about 14 points or fewer. If all of that happens inthis tune-up game--which most teams have to open the season--then I'll feel a lot better about the Ole Miss game, which I think you could fairly say is UK's biggest game of the season in regard to whether they make it to a bowl.

Have to agree with baldcat. I've yet to see this staff get the team ready to play in game like this one.

My question would be, "what does it take to get ready? and how can the coaching staff not recognize this?"

I can't imagine a coach not getting his team into "ready" mode nor the players themselves not having enough self-motivation to be ready. I know that the players and coaches look at film, study plays, look at strengths/weaknesses, etc.

Surely, our crew is above this.

Texas State lost in the NCAA Division 1-AA Championship game at the end of last season to Northern Iowa, 40-37. While this team is a Div. 1-AA team, this game is by no means a bunny.

I heard on one sports show that Texas St has 11 D-I transfers on it's roster.
