If we are going to go to a bowl game this year, we almost have to win both of our next games.

It's going to take six wins. To get to that, we have to win our remaining three nonconference games (Texas State, C. Michigan and La-Monroe) along with three SEC games.

Right now, the only ones I would put in the winnable category is Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Vandy. That's six. If we lose to Ole Miss or (heaven help us) Texas State, that means we have to get a win in one of our other five SEC games - at Florida, USC, at LSU, UGA or at Tennessee. I would give us a longshot chance against South Carolina, but that's it. The other four are all going to be ugly.

So yeah, our season may well hinge on the Ole Miss game at this point.

In terms of going to a bowl, I agree, Ole Miss is a must, KY has to be 2-1 going into the UF game. Even though you did not ask, I think Brooks only needs to win 4-5 to keep his job, so in terms of his future, winning at Ole Miss may not be a must.
