I'm going to Rupp this year for the experience of Big Blue Madness in front of a packed house at Rupp!

I'm excited. Here's what i'm looking forward to:

- The freshman. They've been unheralded and IMO ignored by most people outside of the Wildcat faithful. I want to see how athletic Meeks and Jasper really are... If Stevenson's play is as energetic as it sounds and if Porter can light it up beyond the arc. Oh, and if the new walk-on wears his goggles.

- Attitude of the returning players: How is Morris, Bradley, Perry, and Crawford going to look out there... I want to see smiling faces and the guys having a good time with last year well behind them. I really really have a good gut feeling that the 3 juniors are going to putting Kentucky back on the map.

- The recruits: I hope I have a good view of Patterson, Lucas, and co. I want to see the look of amazement in their eyes and their hands shaking looking for a pen and paper to sign.

- Tubby: I really hope Tubby gets out there and gets the crowd behind him and the team. He knows last year was a debacle, but I think he needs to acknowledge that he needs the fans to really get behind this team.

- The screaming fans: need I say more? A packed house in Rupp for Practice!!! (why am i getting the image of Iverson saying... we talkin bout Practice)

*** I know i won't see a whole lot that will tell me about this upcoming season, but i'm really really looking forward to this...

I'll be watching on television once again this year. I'm most looking forward to seeing Jared Carter, and any improvements that come along with him. I've read a lot about said improvements this off-season, and I'm anxious to see it for myself. That would go a LONG way in improving our chances this upcoming season, IMO.

Also, like you, I can't WAIT to see what these freshman can do. Porter is supposedly a freakish athlete (heck, he'd have to be to have been offered by USC...in FOOTBALL), so he's likely to put on a show in an event like this. How that translates into gametime situations? We'll worry about that later...
