Perry Stevenson

This a topic of interest on alot of recruting boards and quite frankly it has stumped many. Why haven't we offered this kid.... I know the excuses, but he would not take Brandon Wright's spot.

I feel Stevenson would be a much better fit than Deon Thompson, who tubby seems to have fallen head over heels for. It is just confusing considering the ranking for stevenson and the number of programs after him, that we seemingly pass over him.....

Nothing wrong with Thompson. He is getting rave reviews and is a banger. His offer list reads like a who's- who of colleges: UNC, WF, Gonzaga, UCONN, UK. 4 star recruit, as is Stevenson. Not sure we could go wrong with either.

I get the impression that Tubby wants a big body to go with B. Wright, who we have seemed to put all of our efforts in getting.

I don't see how we could land both Stevenson and Wright. They're essentially the same size. I don't remember a UK recruiting class ever bringing in two nearly identical players (Woo and Shagari, I suppose, but both were projects and that was a weird situation where we didn't have one center returning). Don't know who is saying that Wright and Stevenson are not dependent on one another, because IMO they are.
