Even though it is September 19th and even though our football team is playing relatively well, I can’t help myself. We are less than one month from Midnight Madness, and folks….my mind is on basketball. And why is that you say? You say, “Matt, Kentucky wasnt very good last year and lost its most talented and most clutch players at the end of the season? How can you be excited about a new season, with a team with so many question marks?” Why you ask? Because we are going to be good.

I know it is trendy nowadays to surmise that the Kentucky program is headed downhill on a freefall, descending rapidly into mediocrity as the UK Neros watch the empire burn. But I am not buying it. While there are areas that must be covered for the future (such as 07 recruiting), this team is going to be significantly better this coming season.

I agree with him. I too feel we have brought in more than we lost and good things await us. I also agree that Thomas, Carter and Woo need to bring more to the table this season. I have read a couple things that said Carter has stepped it up a bit and it is not a cake walk for Morris when playing against him like he was last season. I can't wait.

I feel that good things are on the horizon. Woo, Carter, and Thomas are the definite key to overall success. If one or more of them breaks through we will be a top ten team. Yes, I said (TOP TEN). However, I agree with the the article, one of them are going to have to step up. Realistically, I believe that it will be Sheray. I think he is long overdue for a good season. I also like the potential of Carter. And who knows, Woo could definitely surprise me. Overall, I can't wait to get the season started. Wouldn't it be great to start the season off with some nice hardware from Maui? Maybe I'm a fool, if so I'm a fool in love with my:wildcatface's

The pre-conference schedule will tell us a lot about what this team will do this year. I want to see some results on the court, not a lot of talk.

I second that.

I, too, feel that we will be VERY good this year. We have players that will be playing their natural positions and team chemistry will be much better.

Let's face it - last year, guys were out of position, apparently did not buy into what they needed to do to play tough defense and team chemistry, at least according to all reports was b-a-d.

Talented players don't always make the best team. I think last year was an example of that.
