LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The grainy home video chronicles the moment.

A two-year-old Dicky Lyons Jr., decked out in shoulder pads and a miniature New Orleans Saints jersey, goes deep for a pass from his dad. But instead of catching it with his hands, he boots it with his foot.

"All I wanted to do was kick the ball," said Lyons, who went on to play soccer in the junior Olympics but until much closer to high school never tried football, the sport that made Dicky Lyons Sr. a star for the Kentucky Wildcats.

In fact, Lyons didn't even know about his father's football past until he was nine, when his family went to Commonwealth Stadium to see the elder Lyons' name added to the facade circling the field.

Oh, how times have changed. Now it's Lyons -- the younger one -- who has done something not accomplished by his father or anyone else in Kentucky history. He has caught two touchdowns in three straight games.
