Yes, welcome and if anybody does need help please don't hesitant to ask. Just to let everybody know for now. Our signature has been turned off until we get our new server this month. But you can have avatars and if anybody needs any made, I'm a graphic designer that can be requested for one to be made down in the Graphic design section or you can email me or pm me for a request. Again, welcome to the board.

Feel free to invite him. I have invited some little brudder's fans as well but they are reluctant to join because they didn't want to be the only ones. So, maybe if he comes, we have some very indept conversations.

I basically cyber ran all the way back here and told my other partners about WCF and how I would like to see BBS/WN but of course minus you know what. Anyway, I am very sad to see the emergence of Darth Pattie andthe downfall of WildcatFaithful as it was once known. But this site looks pretty good -- and I can tell by the people posting in this thread that the members are first rate!
My question is this -- I created an avatar using Paint and Microsoft Office Picture Manager. It meets the size requirements but won't upload because apparently it's not a GIF, JPG, or NPG file. How do I fix that?

OK, so now that we're all here and don't have the threat of being banned for just hoping that Mel's vision would continue, can anyone of the former admins, or anyone else for that matter, explain what went down?
I don't know about anyone else but I've been too busy to visit WCF for the past few weeks and was shocked over the events of the past few days. I don't want to get too dramatic but I really do feel with the loss of WCF that something was taken away from me. It is great that we've all found another home, I'm very appreciative of the emails directing me here, but so far it still feels a little funny but I'm sure that will soon go away.
When I first read Pattie's responses I have to admit that I first felt sympathy that this woman was only trying to keep the site from closing but it was soon obvious to me that she was not only attacking the actions of the former admins but their integrity as well and for me, that was just too much. It soon became clear to me that she's set herself up as a martyr and only has one interest in mind, making a successful WCF into her vision and not that of Mel's.
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

BrassowFan wrote: OK, so now that we're all here and don't have the threat of being banned for just hoping that Mel's vision would continue, can anyone of the former admins, or anyone else for that matter, explain what went down?
Brassowfan,
HEY! Welcome to the BBS/WN. I'm TRexSmarts, one of three owners here at BBS/WN. Let me say that I really true do feel bad about what happened over there at WCF for you all. You are right, you won't be banned here for talking aboutwhat went down over there butwe only have one request. You all talk about it either in the general discussion forum or in private. That's all we are asking for. So, if you want to make a thread in the general discussion please do so. Otherwise, enjoy posting and looking forward posting with you.

Oh well most of you probably don't remember me over there since I only had slightly less than a thousand posts there. With that said, I registered at WCF back in March of 2000, so I had been a member and daily follower since then. Okay, well its good to be here and see so many familiar names. For one, welcome to the board. To answer your question, there are three owners on this board! Which I'm one of the three. We are learning from you all and vice versa. The mods here are former admins that you all like or love over the years. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask them.

Most of you know my husband as NC Cat and while I never posted on WCF, I read the forums regularly and always felt a part of WCF from the sidelines. We have had many discussions in our home over the years on the various topics that were posted. So WCF was part of my life also…. just in a different way….as I watched my husband grieve for the loss of Mel and then for the loss of what was a family unit at WCF….I realized how much I was going to miss it also…….I’m not sure people can even grasp how many lives it touched in so many ways, or how far it reached.
The one thing I observed at WCF was that UK fans from all over the country, from all walks of life, rich or poor, conservative or liberal, shy or bold in his or her opinions, could come together and were welcomed no matter if they posted once a year or twenty times a day. This new site seems to have those same qualities and I think I’m finally comfortable enough to start participating a little. I’m new to posting so I’ll be getting my feet wet slowly, but I’m looking forward to it!

It looks like it took me a little longer than most to make the move...but...
Here I am... In all my glory... WCF member sinceNov of '03... unwittingly, it became a daily stop for me while browsing the web... I am a techie so I browse the web frequently...
While I am saddened that WCF.com is seemingly a ghost town now, I find myself overjoyed that so many of the "regulars", and by that I mean, the ones whose comments, opinions, beliefs, and humor kept me revisiting that site so regularly; have forged on to this site in apparent unison to keep those same hopes and dreams living here.
No more gushy mushy...

Hello everyone! I was was a long time visitor to WCF even thoughI probably only posted a couple dozen times. When everyone started leavingI was really frustrated by the thought of finding a new site and figuring out which posters were worth reading and which to ignore. It's so nice to find this place where all the peopleI have come torespect are still posting.Anyway thanks for welcoming this Lost Boy aboard.

I am a refugee from the WCF as well. I was mostly a lurker but it truly
helped me get thru the day reading all the posts from folks who are as
passionate about the Cats as me. Not sure what happened over there but
it's all water under the bridge. Let's get back to talking about the
Cats shall we!!!!!
