I criticize him enough but Brooks is getting screwed by some home cooking and he is letting everyone know about it.
I love his fire. I love the fact he is protecting his kids.
I hope it rubs off on the players and they stomp some Gators.

I wish he would slug the head referee, I watched that guy for years and he sucks.

after the no call on the offsides that led to the sack of Woodson and the liberal clock management and the end of the first half I started with the "here we go again's" and the "deja vu's"...my wife said "you dont think they (the refs) will let them beat florida at florida do you?"

I love how they had to get the cop to make coach leave the field before the half. I don't think I've seen Brooks that fired up before. Also love how he accidentally elbowed that ref in the face while pleading his case....funny

I've never seen a coach run to the center of the field to argue. Brooks was lucky he wasn't ejected from the game

Bill Cower ran on the field and stuffed a picture of an alignment in the refs pocket. They were whistled for 12 men on the field, but had 11.

Good post, ukbob. I, too, LOVED Coach Brooks' FIRE.
Also, their letting the clock run after UK's first down, about which Coach Brooks was complaining, was inexcusable. Too, if we had had time, we could have POSSIBLY scored.
The call that probably hurt UK the most, though, was the NO CALL on the offsides. That one, if it had been called, would have been a first down for UK in that drive, another one in whichwe hadbeen moving the ball against Floridawell.Instead, Woodson was sacked on third and four, and we had to give up the ball to Florida. How the officials missed that totally obvious offsides on Florida is beyond my understanding (and Coach Brooks' understanding, based on his answer to a caller's question on his radio show tonight).:(
Regardless, yes, I loved Coach Brooks' FIRE. Tonight on his radio show hesounded more down than full of fire, though (and I wish he hadsounded more full of fire, because those playersmust certainly be fired up Saturday), and hesaid he would justcall them"BAD BREAKS,"certainly sounding displeased.:(
Of course, probably the worst "bad break" of the night was not a bad break at all, but our lack of recovering a fumble that then rolled for a twenty-two-yard gain for Florida. Those three happenings affected the game in a negative way for UK, for certain.
Yes, I remember the topic was the FIRE that Coach Brooks showed. KUDOS to Coach Brooks for standing up for his players.:)
