Does anyone know if CBS picked up this game on 10/7 @ 12pm?...LSU/FLA has the 3:30 game and I know that their is a double header that day on CBS for the SEC...If true, why would you pick UK/USC, when they could have Tenn/UGA?...I hope that this is true, I am ready for some early games...

I could be off on this, but I would bet that UT, UGA would be 7.45pm on ESPN, like UK was tonight.

Most likely, but I thought that CBS had first choice, ESPN follows?

CBS has first choice on the 3.30pm game for sure. Is the 12.00pm game national as well? If the noon game is CBS national, I see what you are saying, and I stand corrected. If that is the case, unless ESPN 2 gets in the mix, I would look for Uk to stay at 7.00pm or whatever.

I saw a rumor (with a broadcast schedule attached) that CBS has picked up the USC-UK game as part of a CBS doubleheader. Lincoln Financial reportedly is not broadcasting a game that week, so CBS is broadcasting a doubleheader.

We should find out for surein the next several days, I would guess.

Yep, we did. UK vs. GA for homecoming. Why wasn't it Vandy or La-Monroe?

I hope it doesn't get moved to the early game, that game is during the Keeneland fall meet and I was planning the double header, races and game.

MITCH HAS NO SAY IN IT! If tv wants to move the game, they do! It is in the contract. I thought everyone knew this by now.

TV and the SEC(the conference) decide on the televised games.

If they move it, I will be disappointed because there's nothing like the "daily double".

But, I will still be at the game...for those who want to go to the track, there's still another two weeks of the meet, but this is our only home game in October.

We'll just be forced to drive down Friday night instead of leaving early Saturday morning. But, we'll be there!!!!!

Can someone who understands the CBS/ESPN/Lincoln contract better than me explain something?

I was under the impression that the UKTV/BBSN games had to be delayedbecause the SEC's contract with the above networks gave those networks the exclusive right to broadcast live games.

But watching highlights of games in recent weeks, I've noticed that some schools' games appear to have TV coverage on networks like Comcast Sports Net, like the LSU-Tulane game last night. If those games can be on live, why can't UKTV/BBSN show live broadcasts of the Central Michigan, Ole Miss, and other games that CBS, ESPN, and Lincoln don't pick up?

Looks like according to Matt Sarz TV site the USC game will be on CBS at noon. I haven't seen this anywhere else though.

I think this site uses "educated guesses" as to what will be on until the games are made official, and then change things as needed. However, their guess would not surprise me.

if it was not a LSU home game, then the SEC rules do not apply.

The ESPN webpage still has the UK scheduled for 7pm. It also has these games scheduled as To Be Announced, so it looks like they are the ones that will be in the double header.

Yep, the only way that UK will be on the tube is if there are four SEC games picked up, but that's a real possibility for that weekend.

those late games are tough.

Oh please...... when I was your age I could stay awake for days. Of course, back then I had to stay awake that long because the stagecoach ride on those dirt roads in Lexington was so uncomfortable, who could sleep? ;)

That's the problem Dave...I regularly DO stay awake for days...particularly if I'm out of town...so when we make it to Lexington for a game it usually goes like this...I don't sleep well Thursday because I'm excited about going to the game and also can't stop thinking about what I might be forgetting to pack...then we drive to Lexington late on Friday after work and then I'm in a hotel and can't go to sleep...so by the time I get to the game on Saturday I'm doing good to have had 4 hours sleep since Wednesday night...so I run out of steam before a late game.
