Dude needs his hands on the ball way more. That run he made where he ran about 60 yards to gain 7 or 8 and get a first down was a classic. I loved how he never gave up on getting that first down despite the lack of blocking. (as was evidenced by the fact there were no holding calls in the long time it took to make the run.

I think one of the key playsin this game was in the 2nd half when the Florida Runner had the ball knocked out while making a big gain and the ball went sailing down the field another what seemed like 30 yards and we failed to recover it. Had we recoverd that, and regained some momentum we might have been able to turn the tables somewhat. That recovery way upfield put Florida in the Red zone

Quite frankly though, depending on how we perform in the next two games, I'm not sure Archer sees the end of the season. he might be gone by the open date. I don't think anybody should keep their job if their unit ranks below 100 for 3 or 4 straight years.

The David Jones improvisational play was one of those things where you say, "No, no!" then immediately afterwards say "yes, yes!" It was amazing to watch. I'd love to see that one again.

Archer and Brooks got into it again last night, like last year against Auburn. I don't think he'll be fired during the season, but I do predict that all the staff will be retained except for him. Which is sad to say, because Archer bleeds Blue, and I don't think that he has enough studs to field an SEC defense.

Are you spying on me...? ;)

It was a great run, wished he'd have bounced outside at the 5 instead of back to the middle...moot point though, great effort.

Archer may not have enough studs to field and Auburn-esque defense, but he has enough to put out atleast a decent defense and he has failed to do that at all.

UK gave up only 26 points to one of the top offensive teams in the nation AT THEIR HOME FIELD. Due to our offense getting handled in the second half the defense played on a short field for most of the half with little subsititutionand gaveup only 14 points. The last TD came on a short 33 yard drive.

Last week we gave up only 14 points and 0 in the second half.

Yeah we suck.

Sometimes I wonder what game you guys are really watching.

Amen RV, the Cats gave great effort last nite but we have several starting players who arent SEC calibre, not their fault. After the ole Miss game there were alot of posters who could only talk about the yardage we gave up, not the great win for the Cats. I bet they are the same bunch when UK out plays a team and loses makes the statement that stats are for losers. After reading other team msg boards, every team has fans who have to find something to b**** and moan about, and we have our fair share:rolleyes:GO BIG BLUE!!!:wildcatface

I thought the defense was better than I've seen it in a long time last night. There weren't nearly as many missed tackles. I saw Wynn really gash Tennessee, and we did a very good job of containing him until he was injured.

The play where Brooks was ripping Archer was on the drive at the end of the first half, IIRC. We were way too passive on that entire drive, and the run by Wynn that capped it was a breakdown on all levels.

But you can't complain too much. If you would've told me before the game that we would give up 26 points to Florida in The Swamp, I would've told you we were going to have a shot to win the game.

Back on topic.

Two words that came to mind watching DJ on that play: Michael Vick. That's tough to do in the open field but against a short field where the entire defense is ten yards away is simply amazing.
