Statistically, KY performedabout as well this year as last year. So it begs the questions, is Brooks making progress in rebuilding KY? The answer is a resounding yess, IMO.
There are issues, one in my opinion is that Archer needs to be in the booth running the defense, but thats just an opinion. The O-line is just not SEC caliber but the effort was good. KY has some very good skilled offensive players
Points of comparison. Last year we lost to UF by 21, this year we lost by 21. Last year UF had 537 total yards, this year they had 492. Last year KY had 295 total yards, this year 247.
The big difference though is that last year UF lead 49-7 at the half and played their scout team the second half. Last year at our place UF was totally dominate. This year, we competed. So while the stats may indicate nothing has changed, to even the casual observer, Brooks is making progress.
