On that play right before halftime, itlooked like we should have had one more play. I sat there in the swamp and watched that play unfold, right before half time. It sure did look like we got screwed royally on that one with the clock "running out", lol! What were the announcers on ESPN saying about it? Did they think that Woodson spiked it in time for one more play? Did they review it at all? Rich Brooks was having a melt down with the refs......it was awesome to see him really standing up for us.
The clock guy/gal was really slow all game. He/she would typically run off an additional 2-4 seconds each time the official waved for the clock to stop. First downs, out of bounds - didn't matter. Sorry job really.

The ESPN announcers commented that the clock did not stop quickly enough on the first down... then they commented that there should have still been one second on the clock after it was spiked. Pretty bad when the unbiased announcers are calling out the officiating for being poor.

The play was over with about six seconds left on the game clock. It took four seconds for the official to give the stop-clock signal.
Why is that?
I can see maybe two seconds going off the clock before they realized it was a first down. Maybe.
But not four.
Also, the last play...
The ref signaled to start the clock, while the other ref (umpire?) was still standing over center. I can understand the players/coaches needing to adjust to the new rules, but it is unacceptable for the refs to not be on top of things.

I would be surprised if the actual game clock was within 30 seconds of what it should have been. Whoever was manning that clock was obviously game watching and forgetting their duties. As RV said, it occurred all game on 1st downs etc.
