Here is recent news:

KENTUCKY: Wildcats (2-2, 1-1)

Wildcats offensive guard target Chase Dumphord from Paris (Ky.) High remains open. The 6-foot-4, 314-pounder has offers from UK and Louisville but isn't sure he wants to stay in state. "I've seen so many guys stay here," he said. "I would like to get out and do my own thing." Virginia has shown some interest in the nation's No. 58 guard. ... Lakewood (Ohio) Saint Edward tight end/wide receiver Kyle Hubbard recently picked up an offer from the Wildcats. The 6-3, 220-pounder also has offers from Pitt and Bowling Green.

> Next: Saturday vs. Central Michigan, 6 p.m.

Thanks for the info, Peachtree Cat. I surely would like for Chase to change his mind in that regard, for our offensive line really needs him. At least he is still "open," so westill have a chance to get him.

If Andre keeps playing well, passing the ball, it will help bring OL folks.

That's a great point. Same for WR I would think.

I agree. Too, all offensive players naturally want to be part of a productive offense. That's something Louisville has going for it at this time.

With all due respect, can anyone name O Lineman that came to UK because Tim Couch or Jared L. was the quarterback?

It's not about who the Quarterback is; it's about productiveness ofthe offense. If our Offense puts up numbers, then OL folks will want to be part of it. Success breeds success, as they say.

I agree with that completely. I would add that being part of a successful offense means having more fun and that is important to young athletes.

Nice recovery there Mountain Cat, but I was responding to your quote, "If Andre keeps playing well, passing the ball, it will bring OL folks."

Perhaps we missed each other on that one. Since our run game is not stellar, I acknowledged that our offense, currently led by Andre's passing game, was a positive that could draw OL folks wanting to be a part of a good offense. :shrug:Leveraging the passing success to bring in quality OL folks, would then help our running game too.

Didn't mean for you to infer that they would come to play with Andre specifically, but I can see how it is possible to interpret my post that way.
