"We got outplayed today," UK coach Craig Skinner said. "Arkansas was very good offensively, and their ball-handling was very good. … We have to learn from this and get better."
UK (17-10), which was led by Danielle Wallace with 17 kills and Jenni Casper with 14 digs, will close out its 2005 season by playing host to Cincinnati on Nov. 26.
Skinner was named the SEC Coach of the Year and Casper the Defensive Player of the Year at the SEC Volleyball Awards Banquet in Tuscaloosa. Casper, a junior libero from Mercy Academy, was Defensive Player of the Year for the second time.
