Not sure where to post this so please advise where this should have been placed, but: I was just curious about the site. I realize that it's a pre-configured site and customization may not be plausible, but... as a suggestion: I think an auto-refresh option would be a great addition. Not trying to overstep my bounds, just curious if I'm the only one.

Thanks for the comment. I'll take the suggestion to our technical guys and see what they have to say.

I have moved this thread to the "General Site Troubleshooting" forum down below. We are trying to keep all suggestions, troubleshooting problems, and etc in that forum. Now about your question.

Can you explain a little bit more about what you mean about auto refresh? I think I have an idea what you mean but I want to make sure we are on the same page.

Sure. It's an option that gives you a choice of say: 30 seconds,60 seconds, and 90 seconds (just an example) and would refresh your page automatically at that interval. I for one sit and hit F5, F5, F5 (refresh) so that I can see what people are responding (and when in the general area or in one of the rroms it would refresh showing what posts have been updated). Just an idea, I appreciate the voice. I'm a Net Admin and can assist with DNS, etc... assistance when needed, just email me and if I'm not working will help any way I can, but Web design isn't my "cup-o-tea". Thanks again.

I was hoping you didn't mean it that way but we are on the same page. The people that made this software went a different direction with the auto refresh. This software we are using for this board uses "smart cache". It's their version of "auto refresh". Basically, when you click the forum title through the "breadcrumb" or on the graphic above, that is the board maker's version of auto refresh. Other than this, the board doesn't have an auto refresh unless you continue hitting F5 or the refresh button on your browser. My solution to you is to click either on the graphic above or the breadcrumb. That's the best way for this to auto refresh. But I will make the suggestion to the board makers for an auto refresh.

Have you tried Maxthon? It's an IE Shell program that works in conjunction with Internet Explorer and adds functions Microsoft should have addressed in subsequent service packs. One of those functions just happens to be the "Auto Refresh" capability. You can download it at http://www.maxthon.com/.

Grub,

Who are you reccomending this for? WCN or mthrBtch?

mthrBtch - it's just an add on to Internet Explorer. Sorry for the confusion.
