Good, the Eagles and the Arbitrator did the right things. I'm enjoying the break from the glory hound.

I'm glad to hear this as well. I was watching "Cold Pizza" this morning and all the analysists where saying that the penalty will be reduced because all of their sources were telling them it would be. I never did really like Owens. Just a greeding individual. In a way, I don't like Johnson because of his attitude as well. Philly was actually ready to release TO if the arbitrator came back and reduced the penalty. They wanted this done. So, now what does this mean for Philly? Can they trade TO if they want? What's the next step in this saga?

I think it's great, he's been acting like an A** over them not upping his pay because he thought he deserved it...regardless of if he "earned" more money...he had a contract that HE AGREED TO for what he was getting paid...and it wasn't a number to sneeze at...get over yourself T.O.!

The Eagle will force T.O. to sit on the bench after his suspension. They will not release him before the season bc the Dallas Cowboys will scoop him up and likely ride him to the Super Bowl. They will continue to punish him as long as they can until the offseason.

They can't trade him b/c the NFL trading deadline is in Week 6.

He's just going to sit out the rest of the season, then the Eagles will release him after the Super Bowl so they don't to pay part of his signing bonus. Then he'll be free to sign with another team.

The thing I love the most about this is watching Drew Rosenhaus crash and burn. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy . . . .

i heard the players association was so mad at the arbitrator, that they have fired? him.

You heard right. They have let him go as an arbitrator. Philly has up until next march to either trade him or release him. In March, TO is promised a $5 million dollar roster bonus.

Even if a trade could be made, I can't see any scenario where he would be able to play for Bill Parcells.

BB75,

Actually, it could happen. Jerry Jones is good at giving players of this type contracts but with several clauses. For example, Deion Sanders and Alonza Speilman. Most analysist thinks TO will end up at either Denver or Dallas next season. But wouldn't put it pass Jerry Jones trying to sign him.

Well now, that's true, too. I certainly wouldn't put it past Jones to try and get him. It's just that Parcells is such a disciplinarian and T.O, while extremely talented and arguably the best receiver in the league, he is so in love with himself I don't know if he could handle playing by Parcells' rules.

Also, do you think this suspension won't effect TO any? I think he will learn from his mistake. The same thing happened to KeyShawn at Tampa Bay before he came over to Dallas. So, maybe KeyShawn can help him?

I would certainly hope the suspension would give him a reality check. The primary difference in T.O and Keyshawn is Keyshawn played for Parcells in New York and when he got kicked out of Tampa Bay he WANTED to play for Parcells in Dallas. That being said, I guess it takes someone who has an attitude to effectively deal with another who has an attitude, so it could work out if Keyshawn will work with him.

Don't get me wrong. I've been a Dallas fan since I was little and if he can get his act together, I think T.O. would look really good with the Silver Star on his helmet. Can you imagine T.Oand Keyshawn lining up in the same offensive set? Secondaries around the league would tremble at the thought. :D

I'll go even one step further. Imagine KeyShawn, TO, and now throw in Terry Glenn as the third receiver? Ouch. This current contract TO has or had will be the best he ever will receive again. The only other way, he will be getting a better contract is with clauses all over the contract. If you do this than you get this and etc.

There would be fan revolt if TO is ever inked by Dallas. The stunt he pulled years ago while a 49'er is still seared in the minds of the fans.

I don't see Jones signing him, nor Parcells having a desire to coach that cancer. While Deon Sanders and Michael Irvin had large egos, they were STILL team players. Sanders even consented to actually tackling guys and throwing some blocks while at Dallas..........

Actually, I read on ESPN in an article that the "Eagles have filed complaint with the NFL against Dallas" for tampering with the Eagles/TO process. Supposely, Jerry Jones was quoted as saying "That Dallas is very interested in signing a player like TO".

As a Dallas fan for over 30 years, I'd be vehemently against signing TO...............for Christsake, Jerry - set SOME sort of boundaries.:X

Here is the ESPN article. The first paragraph is the important one I was talking about:

Yeah, I saw that. That's what I was referring to with regard to Jerry setting some boundaries. There's risks when seeking players with bad histories, then there's unacceptable risks. TO is an unacceptable risk, IMO.
