In a dogfight so far with Vandy. The Dogs' offense can't seem to get it rolling. Vandy might have some points if not for shooting themselves in the foot with penalties.

3-0 Georgia in the 2nd qtr.

Last I saw the score it was close. UGA has real trouble on offense.

Is anyone else worried about Vandy?

Vandy is up a point, "and they aren't going away."

What kind of comment is that by the announcer? Weird!

I'm always worried, but heck, it makes UGA look a lot less intimidating.

Vandy lost to the Ole Miss team we beat.

Me too. Let's hope Vandy doesn't"pull a Vandy" and collapse totally.

true, but the Vols look good. I have a feeling the Dawgs were sleeping on Vandy today.
The SEC is really competitive all around this year with the Cats and Vols fielding good teams... I love it.

UGA has terrific problems in that it has 3 quarterbacks.

When you have 3 quarterbacks, you really have none.

Vandy imploding. A 5-yard punt? I've never seen that.

Who wants to bet Vandy will choke on the game winning field goal?

Oh my. He hit it.

Vandy 24-22, 2 seconds left.

How about that!

Bobby Johnson gets his 2nd signature win in 2 years. First Tennessee, now Georgia- at Georgia.

Great game! Good for Vandy. Maybe they'll be "flat" when they come to Lexington next month.

I thought that UK had a real chance beating UGA this year. I was hoping that UGA would win today so that it would be UK that knocked them off from below, rather than Vandy. I still think that the UK offense might be able to do some damage against the Dawgs.

I think you are correct. UK can beat Georgia. In fact, in watching Tennessee last week, I kept thinking, "Our skill players (on offense) are just as good as UT's."

The problem, as I see it (aside from the psychological issues), is that I don't think Kentucky's o-line can hold off Georgia the way UT's did. Vandy did a decent job as well today, although Georgia did get a fair amount of pressure. Vandy's QB (a graduate school transfer, by the way) is pretty mobile, as well.

Last year, we actually probably should've beaten Tennessee. We started talking about it as fans, early on, and by the time the game rolled around, a lot of people believed it would happen. Then, we fell flat.

Georgia will get its QB situation straightened out by the time they walk into Lexington. I think Tshinski is probably about done at QB. Mark Richt hadto bedreading this year. The injury to Tshinski would've have been a pretty good thing,if either of thefreshman had been able to take firm control of the reigns. But, it didn't work out that way. Kind of reminds me of Tim Couch's Freshman year at UK. You could see that he had talent, but his command of the offense, and timingwith thereceives just wasn't there,as he hadn't been gettinall the snaps. At the time, people were even saying that Ryan Keller was a better QB. (Whatever happened to him?) Anyway, I have a hunch that Stafford will get the nod going forward, andthe Georgia O will be looking better 4 weeks from now. Also, less talked about, they will probably reduce the RB rotation as well.

But, for our sakes, let's hope that Georgia stays a little messed up, and lays an egg the way it did today. Nonetheless, it's not going to be easy. We're not going to blow Georgia out. If we're in the game, we're probably going to have to have a finish like Vandy's today. Are we tough enough?

First things first, let's put up a fight tonight against LSU!

Looks like we have another upset in the making, Ole Miss is tied up with Bama in Tuscaloosa, 20-20 with less than 1 minute to go.

All Georgia's' offense needs is a healthy dose of Mike Archer. ;)

I am afraid you are right. With an average or little less than average D we could probably beat the Dawgs this year.

FWIW, I was hoping the same, Caveman. Oh, well. :(Ironically, I'm using pulling for the underdog. This time I wasn't, and the underdog won. :(

I was also pulling for Ole Miss to beat Alabama, since we had beaten Ole Miss (and potentially to keep Alabama out of the bowl picture). Oh, well, in that one the underdog lost as usual.:(

Either we're screwed against Vandy, or we have a prayer against Georgia.

Still trying to decide which one it is...

But at either rate, I'm happy for the Dores that they pulled off that upset.

Vandy is still Vandy, despite beating Georgia. (What are, they, 3-4 like us?) I have a feeling that the Dogs were still licking their wounds after the Tennessee loss. The Dores were ready to take advantage.

It's monday, so let's be positive, take it 1 game at a time, and believe in the KIDS, even if we have doubts about the staff.

I love that last statement, Brian. I SO AGREE.

In regard to Vandy, though, their record is so misleading. They are a windy day from defeating Arkansas (based on the commentators' comments during the broadcast), a team that not only soundly beat Auburn at their place, but also undefeated in the SEC at this time,AND a forty-seven-yard field goal away from defeating Alabama on the road. They also competed against Michigan on the road. They are much better than their record, and we MUST play well to beat them (although I still EXPECT us to do just that :)).

CoquieKat, I had mixed emotions. I, too, was happy for Vanderbilt, especially the field goal kicker. Yet, I would have so preferred that Georgia come in here highly ranked and our Cats have beaten them.

Back to Brian's statement. ONE GAME AT A TIME. UK football players, we BELIEVE in you. Let's beat MSU and stay on track to getthat bowl game you so desire! :)

They may still be Vandy, but they will be pissed about losing the game to us last year. Remember that game was the final nail in their bowl hopes coffin. Especially when you consider they actually DID beat Tennessee you know they hated letting us get out of there with a win the week before.

I have posted the same thing, Mr. T. That is my MAIN concern about Vandy, besides their MOST OBVIOUS competitiveness against some very good SEC teams (besides the win over Georgia). IF we beat MSU, I probably feel nearly as good about our chances against Georgia as I do against Vandy. Vandy will come in here READY TO GET EVEN. We so agree.
