The Bearcats are keeping it close with 3:40 to go at 23-17. Brohm has played pretty well in his return passing for over 300 yards, but the Cards running game is almost nonexistent.

2min to go, Cincy just forced UL to punt and has to go 90yards to win it.

Cincy 1st down on the Ville's 15, but only 18 seconds to go, but fails to score, UL wins 23-17.

UL escapes....period. Wins 23-17 with UC at the UL 25.

UC has a GREAT line defense but cannot cover the pass. They have no passing game but can run. UL was fortunate in this one.

I didn't watch the entire game, just the last few minutes, but from what the announcers said, Louisville is lucky they're not in OT right now. Cincy apparently missed a couple of field goals that coupled with their last TD would have tied the game.

OT was not the issue really. Had UC scored, they were an extra point from winning.

UC plays some real smashmouth defense for sure. UL had less than 80 yds rushing and they were averaging 236 per game. Pretty impressive.

It shows that a good defense can give you a shot in any game against anyone.

No way that UL should leap frog UF with that performance. UL has not played a top tier team all year. Being undefeated with their record should not place them in the top 5. They should be ranked about #12 right now. Its embarrassing to the polls when a team that has played no one (yup, UK is a NO ONE) can be ranked in the top ten, especially when their wins have not been impressive.

All it does is show us that it doesn't matter if we don't beat anybody "good" either.

Louisville was indeed very fortunate. I only watched the end of the Louisville game (for I was, instead, watching the Ole Miss/Alabama game, pulling for Ole Miss as I hadread thatAlabama was one of the teams that could end up with six wins and potentially knock us out of a bowl game with six wins). Anyway, while I didn't seeCincinatti's two missed field goals, I did see the pass playa fewplays earlier,in which the announcers said that Grutza had missed seeing a guy wide open in the end zone. Ifthe gamehad been inCommonwealth Stadium and theCats had been playing Cincinatti, I would almost guaranteethe Cincinatti quarterback would have seen the wide-open receiver andwould have completed the pass for the game-winning touchdown in the waning seconds. I've seen it too many times. :(
