BATON ROUGE, La. - At least it wasn't televised.
You back home didn't have to endure LSU scoring touchdowns on its first four possessions, or Kentucky picking up two personal foul penalties on one play, or the Cats having 10 men on the field when they needed 12 and 12 when they needed 32.
Better still, you didn't have to watch Kentucky start the second half by sailing a kickoff out of bounds.
The Cats couldn't even get that right.
"It was awful," said Rich Brooks, the UK coach, afterward.
LSU was two-loss angry. Kentucky was that fatal combination of inadequate and incompetent. By night's end, the host Tigers had a 49-0 cakewalk, and Brooks had his most lopsided defeat since coming to Lexington.

I can't argue with the inadequate and incompetent part. My son was at the game and I look forward to getting his eye witness account. But it sounds like we were as incompetent as we were inadequate.
If by chance we change coaches someday, I wish for a complete house cleaning and no talk of looking at this staff for a replacement of Brooks. No one impresses me as being capable of bringing winning SEC football to Lexington. I don't even know if that person has been born yet.

I like Randy Sanders, and that's it. But he won't be here next year, even if this staff is.
Les Miles put in the mercy rule last night. He could have easily scored 100 if he had wanted. Brooks thanked him profusely a the post game handshake.
Spanish, I really feel for your son and all the UK fans who had to endure that in person.

UedK, at least the food was good albeit, it is hard to enjoy a meal when you just got "shellacked". But he would probably go on a 30 day fast to have a competitive team. Heck he might even eat snakes, spiders and insects if it would bring us a competitive team. Not a world beater, just competitive.
We are desperate

Well John, I hope he boils those snakes, spiders and insects in a big black kettle while saying a few incantations to improve our KARMA. ;)
