KENTUCKY: Wildcats (5-4, 3-3)

Hopkinsville (Ky.) Christian County quarterback/defensive back Keith Tandy has his eye on the Wildcats and a current Big East power. "Kentucky and West Virginia have offered," he said. "I've also got some offers from smaller schools like Western [Kentucky], Eastern [Kentucky], Murray State and Middle Tennessee." The Wildcats and Mountaineers are recruiting the 5-foot-10, 174-pounder as a defensive back. "I want to play for a big-time program more than I want to play quarterback, though, so that's all right," he said.

Hey, PeachtreeCat. Just wanted you to know that I appreciate you posting the weekly SEC updates from AJC. Always has good info that doesn't seem as availabe here in b'ball country. Also, good to hear Tandy is giving us serious consideration. I had the impression he was cool on the Cats. He's an excellent athlete that would be a welcome addition to anybody's defensive backfield. On a side note, I grew up in Western KY and there's been a Tandy who's a great athlete in Christian County for as long asI can remember. I hope the latest one wears blue next year.

The updates have been a little slow here so I try to help as much as I can. Good to hear about Tandy, must be a big family with some good genes. I hope he also stays in Bluegrass country!
