In an era when cornerbacks tend to be on the mouthy side, Trevard Lindley is a square peg in a round hole.
Deion Sanders, arguably one of the best cover corners in NFL history, made trash-talking en vogue at the position.
But if you're an opposing wide receiver looking to get a rise out of the Kentucky redshirt freshman via an exchange of words, you're wasting your time. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, you will get nothing.
"Sometimes, if I'm in the mood, I might say something," Lindley said. "But I'm not a big talker."
Lindley was even set up perfectly to talk some smack when he was asked about who gets the better of his daily matchups with Keenan Burton in practice. A more flamboyant corner may have popped off a little, but Lindley would only say, "It goes both ways."
