VAUGHT: Durham enjoys UK trip
By Larry Vaught
Posted Nov 12, 2006

“If they are after other players, they need to know what is going on with me,” Durham said. “I am just glad somebody is being honest with me for once. Just tell me the real truth about how things will go down. I am very respectful of coach Brooks for doing that. All I want to know iswhat the situation is. I can deal with that if a coach just tells me the truth."

I came here after i read this on another site i like to go to:

Right now, Kentucky high school coaches appear to be, um, "urinated off" at Louisville's Bobby Petrino after he apparently reneged on a commitment to an in-state kid named Brad Durham, from Rockcastle County High School.

Among many Kentucky fans, Louisville's coach, who has had a few "truth issues" in the past, is known as "Petrinocchio."

Said Brad Durham's high school coach, Tom Larkey, "I know one thing. Rich Brooks (Kentucky coach) would never do this to a kid. Rich Brooks keeps his word."
PS

The guy is a footbal coach & teacher of coaches, and has always made his respect & support of coach Brooks well known.

For those who don't live in the Louisville Area, you can not comprehend the level of arrogance exuded by Petrino. Looserville is a totally classles organization which is apparent in the Durham situation. If you do not want the kid do not offer him a scholarship and if you do pull the scholly give a reason and call the kid yourself. Anyway BOB pad your record like John L., go to a different team in a major conference, and then fail miserably. Please Brad Durham come to K.

Unfortunately, he probably did not enjoy this visit nearly as much as his visit to the Vandy game. :(Of course, the offense still did a lot of good things, but the defense's performance and the narrow margin of victory could not have been a positive. Further, the boos from the crowd had to have been a negative. :(

P.S. I now see that Brad has committed to UK, so none of the positives or negatives now matter. :)Welcome, Mr. Durham! :)
