Will we sign anyone or is it over til April?

Like everone, I am worried that after this long our chances of signing a top recruit today or tomorrow is looking pretty slim.

Last I heard, Jai Lucas will announce today and sign in the early period. We are very much in contention for him.

I hope you are right. I just keep getting the feeling that OSU or Maryland will land him. I'm just a typical nervous ninny UK fan though. :) Maybe we will luck out and get Lucas "and" Patterson? :thumbup

We have AJ Stewart's signature and should have gotten Mike William's signature yesterday but no confirmation yet (not worried about this one).

Lucas may not sign in the Fall period is the latest rumour. If he does sign, I would think today would be the day. PP has put it off until Spring but Tubby is making a late push to convince him to sign now.

That's all I got.

I think Lucas will sign. I don't know if it will be with UK, but he's given every indication that he's going to make a decision now.

In September when everyone was fretting over Tubby's recruiting, I said, lets see what he does in November. I thought it was important for Tubby to lock up a great class by the middle of November. At this point, it looks like that is not going to happen. Moses looks to be a spring signee if he becomes eligible and Patterson is a spring signess and apparently a UF lean. Lucas may sign this fall but maybe not.

If we only sign the 3(Williams, Harris and Stewart), then I am disappointed.

Me too.

If Morris were to have a big season and go pro, then we'll be left with a Stevenson/Williams/Carter/Moses/Stewart frontcourt (assuming Moses ends up in Lexington). Three freshmen (two tweeners and a project), a sophomore, and a project junior.

If Jai waits till the spring, this clearly tells me that Kentucky is out. I think if he signs anywhere today or tomoorw, then Kentucky will be it, but if not, then another team has swayed his decision. I hope he makes his decision today!!! My nerves can't wait any longer.

Lets hope Tubby can find a couple of "under the radar" guys that appears to be the only type player he can recruit. I just don't understand it. I wish someone who "knows" would explain it . Whats wrong with Kentucky. Don't tell me nothing, because at least for the elite basketball player coming out of high school that simply isn't true.
