Miami is a relatively experienced team. They lost their best player and leading scorer, but they return two all-conference performers: forwards Nathan Peavy and Tim Pollitz. They aren't that big, but they seem to shoot the outside shot pretty well. (Their offense looks like it revolves pretty much around the outside shot.) Nathan Peavy, their best player and go-to guy, is a big (6'8"), inside-outside threat. He shot 3 for 5 from three in their first regular season game

They lost to Wright State over the weekend, 57-56, on a last-second shot.

Cats may get a game in this one, especially if Peavy or guard Michael Bramon are on their game. I look for the Cats to wear down Miami with their athleticism in the second half.

Miami (O) 58
Kentucky 73

I think we are going to be surprised by the pace we see tomorrow night. At least, I hope so. :)

Quote from the Herald-Leader: 'During Kentucky's two exhibition games, Coach Tubby Smith repeated one emphatic message in many of the timeout huddles: "Push it! Push it! Push it!"'

I think we'll roll with 20+ point wins until the 2nd round of Maui.

I agree. Tubby is smart enough to know we dont have the depth inside to try and play a slow down, big man type of ball. We will have to beat better teams by getting out and running with our athletic guards. Morris should have a good year but with the pace we will have to play at, Crawford might be the one to really break out.

As long as Miami doesn't get Crispen-like shooting, the Cats should be OK.

I am a bit skeptical because they are a MAC team however, I like our team over anyone in the MAC (at the very least).
