LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach Tubby Smith on Tuesday announced the signing of three high school players, including one who could be eligible to play this season.
Ramon Harris, a 6-foot-6 forward from Anchorage, Alaska, signed with the Wildcats and currently is in Lexington. Harris has not yet been cleared by the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse, a process Smith called “a formality.”
Assuming Harris is cleared, he would be able practice and play as early as Dec. 15.
“(Harris is) a very athletic, long wing player, who can play wing, can play inside, can play outside,” Smith said. “(He’s) very mobile, very athletic.”
