As a resident of Houston, I'd like to attend some of Jai's (#) games just to see him in action. I read the compliance rules posted in the forum, but not sure I understand them perfectly. If I understand correctly, I can attend a game, but cannot have a conversation with Jai or his family (not that I would anyway). Does anyone know if I can wear a UK shirt, or is that considered a potential violation?

Hope this makes sense. Bottom line is I would like to watchjust to see this kid play, and aslong as it's ok I think it wouldn't hurt for him to see some blue in the stands.

You can wear a UK t-shirt but I would be extra careful about associating yourself anywhere near the Lucas family. Not a hard thing to do really and I am sure you don't plan on doing that. Most of this stuff never makes it to the NCAA compliance office but we're KY and we seem to have a bullseye on our back when it comes to dealing with the NCAA.

Bottom-line to answer your question: don't go out of your way to talk to the prospect and his/her family. If you are approached by them, simply keep it short and report it to the UK Compliance Office (Sandy Bell).

I agree with Coldstream on all of that except that you probably don't need to report it to the compliance office. Recruits are going to run into fans from schools all the time and that does NOT constitute a violation. If you go out of your way to talk to him then it may be. Safest bet is just show up in your blue and make no contact.
