Carmella DeCesare, the 2004 Playboy playmate of the year and girlfriend of Lions quarterback Jeff Garcia, criticized Lions fans during a phone call to sports talk radio station WXYT 1270 on Monday.
DeCesare called after hearing others rip Garcia.
"I grew up in Cleveland and grew up on football," she said. "I came here … in support of him and I converted into a Detroit Lions fan. I don't disagree (Lions fans) have a right to be disappointed, but … I've never in my life seen the things I did (Sunday).
"Before the game even started it was negativity. It was horrible. I was just put off by the way people acted. And it's not just with (Garcia). I've sat here and listened to things said about Joey (Harrington) and yesterday what they said about Matt Millen. I mean, I have never experienced this before and I don't think the fans are understanding," DeCesare said.
"Do you have a right to be disappointed? Yes. But you create a mood. You create an attitude with the players on the field."
