I just received a phone call from my grandson and he was so excited he couldn't hardly talk. His dad just rewarded his good behavior by saying he could go to the game tonight. (he is four years old)

I wish my dad was alive to see this day because back in 1959 he bought season tickets and we have kept them in the family for all of these years. Now the fourth generation will be yelling 12 rows from the floor and what could be better than that?

We raise them right in this family and they are Big Blue fans while still in the womb. I guarantee you that is a fact.

Congratulations! It'll certainly be a time he remembers for the rest of his life :D

Few aspects of being a Kentucky fan are as special as the cross-generational love. I look forward to taking a son or daughter to their first Kentucky game some day in the future some day as well.

That's very exciting...I'm so jealous.

Will you adopt me? ;)

My oldest grandson is well onhis way. I remember my kids getting all fired up for UK games. What a thrill to see Mitchell just as excited. Heart warming, isn't it SM:)

I made him promise to call me at halftime to give me a run down of the game and he called. But all he wanted to talk about was this big old wildcat walking around. :)

He was having the time of his life and I asked him if he was having more fun than he had at Disney World and I got a loud, YES !!!

Sharing UK sports with family is as good as it gets in life.

Of course, we are already one big happy family. :)

LOL...you've definitely trained him right. And no heat index of 190 degrees to battle, either. :)

I'm just reading this thread today, Spanish Moss. It touches my heart and brings back so many wonderful memories of how much our sons loved the Cats as toddlers (the younger of which would stay up at the age of two until halftime of the UK replays, thinking the game was over, yelling for RICKY Beal :)). It also makes me lookSO FORWARD to having some grandchildren of my own, who will naturally also be Cat fans. Grandma will see to that! :)Continue to enjoy every moment!:)

Wow, that is great. I hope that one day he is saying the same about his own Grandson. :)
