Help on the way? (http://blog.kentuckysportsradio.com/?p=1214)
by Rob Gidel @ 8:07 pm.
Spartanburg (SC) Broome HS safety Antonio Thomas (6′3 200) said he had an enjoyable unofficial visit to Kentucky and wants to commit. “”That’s where I wanna go to school,” Thomas said. “I’ll probably commit tomorrow at school with my coach.”
Thomas said he wants to go to school at Kentucky because they want him to play outside linebacker at the next level. Thomas has great speed and a nice frame to add the weight. He unofficially visited UK over the weekend for senior day with teammates Markish Jones (WR 6′1 180), a three-star wide receiver that is currently committed to Clemson, and defensive end Antwane Glenn (6′4 250).

6-foot-6, 300 pounder 0-visits UK (http://blog.kentuckysportsradio.com/?p=1215)

One of the official visitors of the weekend was Columbia (SC) Spring Valley HS offensive lineman Kyle Fischer. Fischer said he liked the Wildcats feelings towards academics and the C.A.T.S. center. The Wildcats have been 0-for-the century mark at Spring Valley high school the past three years, but are hoping to change their luck. Fischer’s top schools are NC State, UK, Virginia, Maryland, East Carolina and Vanderbilt. He also plans to visit Cincinnati.
Bailey … Mychal Bailey .. (http://blog.kentuckysportsradio.com/?cat=1)

The picture above is of LaGrange (Ga.) High School linebacker Mychal Bailey. Bailey is a generous 6-foot-1, 200 pound linebacker for the ‘Grangers, but despite his below normal frame, has put up ‘rediculous’ above average numbers. The star senior managed to accumulate nearly 100 tackles, of which nearly 20 were for loss, and that all important number, 11 sacks. Did I mention he’s fast … real fast? In fact, Bailey ran a 4.37 forty yard dash at the annual Granger Olympics, where inhumane statistics are a common-place. The Wildcats have many connections to LaGrange, but Bailey could be the best long-range recruit of the bunch. When UK accepted the commitment of Randall Burden (CB 6′2 175) and are awaiting word on four-star defensive end D.J. Stafford (6′4 255), it’s easy to forget about Bailey, but with a host of linebacker prospects still learning how to play, a speedy LB’r to add weight like Bailey could help UK’s defensive woes quickly. The Cats Pause Jeff Drummond broke the news of a scholarship offer to Bailey last week. If there was ever a story to get excited about … this was it. Especially after watching a 2-9 recently upgraded to D-1A football run up 500 yards of total offense against your program just days ago.
