SEC reprimands Fulmer for criticizing officials

The Southeastern Conference reprimanded Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer on Wednesday for saying after a victory over Vanderbilt that the league needs to take a ``hard look’’ at officiating.

Commissioner Mike Slive said Fulmer violated the league’s code of ethics that prohibits coaches, players and support personnel from publicly criticizing officials.

Fulmer is one to talk. I remember a UK game in Commonwealth, where the officials gift wrapped the game for UT. I'd be willing to bet thatthe SEC officials have "Rocky Top" on their cell phones.

If he showed up to court I'd have him extradicted to Alabama. Does he still have a warrant?

Geez, and this is the coach that has benefited greatly from calls, especially against teams like Vandy and Kentucky.

Fat Phil needs to shut his whining trap and coach football.

There was a time not too long ago that many of the calls for BCS "possibilities" were absolute gifts. As a result, the lower tier teams got the shaft while the elite teams and their coaches got used to always getting the calls. I think the reasons for this were economic. If a lowly Vandy or UK knocked a Florida or Tennessee out of the BCS bowl picture it got expensive for the whole league! The officiating (with a few notable exceptions) has gotten some better and Phat Phil hasn't adjusted yet. He can go out to the garden and eat worms, better yet, he can try some of that organic fertilizer! Cry baby!
