A second SEC team has become the fourth official offer for Spring Valley QB B.J. Phillips (6-6 235). Vanderbilt offered Phillips last month according to his coach Jimmy Noonan. Phillips also has offers from Kentucky, North Carolina and Rutgers. According to Noonan, Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Kentucky have told Phillips he's the #1 quarterback on their boards. Phillips is also getting interest from USC, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Penn State. "An awful lot of folks are going to look hard at his first few ballgames, including South Carolina," Noonan said. "He had a good, strong workout with coach Spurrier at camp." Phillips plans to take in early season games at North Carolina, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. In last Friday's jamboree, Phillips completed 4 of 7 passes for 56 yards and one touchdown.
