Imagine that Mark Story had never been born.

I was having a pretty nice morning until I clicked on that Story. Mark Story that is.

I want to win this game more than words can express. This would be a giant step for our program. I am not kidding when I say I would trade 10 losses in basketball for a win over Tennessee and a shot at the Outback Bowl or if that still wouldn't get it, the Peach Bowl. No offense to the Music City or any of the rest but I want to play in a New Years Day Bowl. If not this year, soon.

I guess when I get to the heart of it, I am a football fan, first and foremost. Basketball is a nice little game and I have had wonderful memories over the years from basketball but I like contact and I like a game that reminds me of a battle field. Football is the perfect game for that and I want to be an elite football program.

So, Mike Archer, please find a way to stop Tennessee. If you can do it for one game, we might have a shot. If our defense plays like they normally play, it will still be a dream. Go Cats and please defense, step up to the plate and play like intelligent men for once.

I didn't click on the link and have no intention of reading the article.

My feelings are this:to paraphrasethe immortal words of that noted philosopher, Bugs Bunny:

"Mark Story may not be very pretty now, but he was somebody's baby once. "

On second thought, I have a much better one that truly fits:

Abraham Lincoln once said: "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

Lol, well, I stand by my first point.

Lexington is plenty big enough to support two newspapers.

Why the LHL and Story are the only game in town boggles me.

Hey give the mullet a break he is one of the reasons that games like Georgia this year are so sweet.

Ok I don't think he deserves his job either but it is sweet to shove things in his face.

The only thing I regeret about Bill Parcells not coming to UK was that we never got to see Story & Clay crapping their pants during every press conference with the Tuna.

Can you see those guys trying to ask Parcells a question that was even remotely controversial? He'd chew 'em and spit out the pieces. :D

Imagine...

Imagine that the local Lexington newspaper supported the state's Flagship University....

Imagine that they employed real sports writers and not cheap hacks....

Imagine that the newspaper had enough satisfied readers to become a state wide paper...

Imagine the beat writer for UK was actually qualified and a

knowledgeable sportswriter...

Imagine Mark Story was not a turd...

However - in the realworld, I imagine not :ggrin:

ridgecat78, that is way too much to imagine.
