I've seen Matt play in the last two state finals, except this one. The prior two finals, he really struggled so I know where that statement is coming from. BUT, that was a very un-classy move on his part.

As for the point about the talent level, don't let that video fool you. Those teams have some outstanding talent on their roster that the video does not do justice. However, I personally rate Simms a low 3 star at best (rivals has him at 3 also) but I really feel is a 2-star. He does not do very well against top competition.
