This is quite an honor for a deserving young man. With our defense ranked at or near the botttom of college football I was not expecting any of our players to be on the First Team All-SEC. I certainly think Woodyard deserved it but I didn't expect it.

But this linebacker can play for any team in America and we are blessed he chose UK. I hope he has an outstanding bowl game on national TV so the rest of the country can see and enjoy his talents.

Congrats to a fine player and leader. :thumbup Now if we can get the other 10 players on D playiing close to the level he plays, we are going to stop Clemson in their tracks.

Wesley is a BEAST! He is ALL OVER the field. Very impressed with his play and we got one more year with him. Look out for the Cats next year!!!!!!!

How in the flip did Keenan Burton not make either of those teams, special teams included.

This is the coaches' All-SEC list. The previous post was the AP All-SEC list.

Aitcheson made second team. I confess I was astounded when the coaches picked him for the preseason team, but he played well this season.

Exactly. I was going to post the same.

Too, this news MADE MY DAY, as I had felt that the media had not fairly respected andrewarded Woodyard for his play. As Spanish Moss posted, Wesley Woodyard is a "fine player and leader." FIRST TEAM ALL-SEC is what Wesley Woodyard deserved, and I'm thankful that the other SEC coaches noticed.

KUDOS to Wesley Woodyard! :)GO CATS!

I was also happy for Aitcheson, who is evidentlysuch afine young man. Interestingly, Garry Williams had won the team's offensive lineman reward, though. Perhaps the coaches were partially given credit to UK's offensive line itself, because of how the offense has performed this season. Regardless, KUDOS to senior offensive lineman Michael Aitcheson, who surely deserved the award. :)GO CATS!

I really enjoy listening to and watching interviews with Michael Aitcheson. He is very articulate and always smiling and has such a positive attitude. It seems to be infectious. Congratulations!
