WHAS 11 just reported that for only the second time in the it's history, the Music City Bowl is a sellout. This proves once again the loyalty UK fans have for the school plus it speaks well of the direction the football program is headed.
I hope I'm able to find a couple tix somewhere so the wife and I can go, but I'm proud nonetheless.
Way to go, 'Cats!

This proves that the depth of support for the program is sound and home attendance figures for LA Monroe in November are irrelevant. It will be a persuasive card to play in five years or so when it is time to hire the next coach.

I am so happy to hear it is already a sellout. I think Clemson coming has helpeda bit, but I read somewhere that they only sold 12,000 tickets. That means, of the aprox. 70K, 58K will be in Blue.

I got a dozen through ticketmaster Monday morning and I'm barely in the stadium. They only had $15 tickets left. Of course, after paying the processing fee, and the convenience fee and the handling fee and the contribution to the ticketmaster CEO's Crhistmas bonus and taxes each $15 dollar ticket was suddenly $26! Still beats what I would have had to pay a scalper and there really are no bad seats in LP stadium.

I got mine this past weekend on ticketmaster and then my brother told me they were sold out. I wanted the 15$ just becuase I have been in that stadium and those tickets are just as good as the mid level seats.

Not defending the 'no show' season ticket holdersas that is their business whether they show up or not but we have around 43k season tickets sold and we never had below 52k tickets sold for a game.
I do think it's humorous regarding the mood swings of some fans however.

What's more impressive is that the other time the Music City Bowl was sold out, the gamehad beenheld in Vanderbilt's much smaller stadium. By the way, good luck in finding tickets, Big Blue 75. :)GO CATS!

I was listening toa sports talk show this morning, they said that there are some tickets available through travel agencies in package deals. So if your interested or desperate for a ticket you can go that route.

CLEMSON — The hottest tickets in Nashville can be found only in Clemson’s ticket office.
Music City Bowl officials announced Tuesday they had sold out of tickets for the Dec. 29 matchup between the Tigers and Kentucky, the second sellout in the bowl’s nine-year history.
“To do that in less than 48 hours after teams were announced shows quite an excitement level,” executive director Scott Ramsey said.
The Music City Bowl might be off the hook for the 64,000 tickets available at LP Field, but that does not mean Clemson fans can’t get good seats.
Between 11,000-12,000 tickets were distributed to Clemson — the minimum allotment is 10,000 — and going into Tuesday, the school had taken orders for about 6,000, athletics director Terry Don Phillips said.
Clemson is accepting orders from season-ticket holders and IPTAY donors through today.
Remaining tickets will be made available to the public on Saturday.
The Music City Bowl had sold about 20,000 locally before teams were revealed Sunday, and Kentucky scooped up 22,000 tickets it had pre-sold last week.
That left 7,000-8,000 loose tickets, the last of which were bought Tuesday afternoon.
