This is just great,'' Music City Bowl Executive Director Scott Ramsey said. "It's where you want to get your event to. Hopefully this helps build the base through the year with people wanting to get in early and not wait on the teams

I don't think anyone bought tickets to the bowl before hand just to see "a game", this has to do with the massive UK turnout.

Year Crowd Outcome
1998 41,600 Virginia Tech 38, Alabama 7*
1999 59,221 Syracuse 20, Kentucky 13
2000 47,119 W. Virginia 49, Ole Miss 38
2001 46,125 Boston College 20, Georgia 16
2002 39,183 Minnesota 29, Arkansas 14
2003 55,109 Auburn 28, Wisconsin 14
2004 66,089 Minnesota 20, Alabama 16
2005 40,519 Virginia 34, Minnesota 31

Why the huge surge in 2004? Do Alabama fans travel that well in a season like that one? I assume that's the case, but am I missing something?

Nashville on a Friday night, during Christmas break,is a great site for Cat Fans. It would be tougher for us to follow in bulk to further away destinations. UK to the MCB was a wise selection by the bowl agencies.

There should be a field of blue in the stands.

Alabama sold out 92,138 seats EVERY game ALL season at home....even this year. BAMA fans travel well too, because there are so damn many of them and the tradition is amazing.

The SEC hasn't fared too well in this bowl. Only Auburn has come away with a win.
