Are there any radio stations that can be picked up LP Field that carry the CATS games? Last year at Vandy, I was unable to find any UK Network broadcast. I ended up listening to the Vandy announcers.:tongue If not UK, then will the game be carried by a MCB radio broadcast? Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm about 20 miles outside of Nashville and I pick up the Cats on the station out of Bowling Green / Glasgow, it's 95.1 FM. Might be others but that one works for me...

What about reception at the stadium? I like to listen on my headphones while I watch the game.

95.1 will work inside of the stadium. It works as far as 30 miles south of the city from my experiments.

Yep, 95.1 comes in clear pretty much all over the Nashville area. One AM station comes through every so often(mostly at night), but its been so long since I even tried it that I cant remember which one it is, 840 maybe??

Rick,

840 would be WHAS in Louisville which comes in here in CATLANTA, along with 1530 WCKY out of Covington, KY, but that is only at night when they power up to 50K. Will try to make it up for the game if I can get off work.

I actually got 840 AM in Winston Salem yesterday... it was bizarre.

I picked up 84 WHAS last year driving from El Paso to Dallas.

Thanks for the info. I hope to be able to pick up the game while in the stadium. Now I wish for moderate temps and sunshine.

No, this is what's crazy:

When I lived in Dallas, I could BARELY pick up WHAS. When UK played, I recorded WHAS on my vcr's audio track, so that I could record the pregame, game, and postgame, savouring every bit of what I was missing. Of course, this was in 92, before they started streaming over the 'Net.

I grew up in Clearwater, Florida (20 miles West of Tampa) listening to the Cats on WHAS. It came in loud and clear at night, especially if you went to the beach and pointed your car North. Dad's car radio had better reception than the one in the house 50 years ago.

I remember hearing my older brothers talking about going to high ground outside of San Diego and listening thru the static to listen to the Cats play. This was in the early to mid 50s.
