When we last saw Arliss Beach, he was being carted off the field at Paul Brown Stadium.
That was in August, in Green Bay’s last game of the preseason against the Cincinnati Bengals, when Beach suffered a severe ankle sprain. A few days later, he was placed on Injured Reserve — ending his bid to make the Packers roster for the 2006 season.
However, being put on IR also ensured the Packers that Beach would be around for the future as property of the Green Bay Packers.
“I’m healthy, ready to go,” Beach said when he was back in town for Thanksgiving. “Everything is good.”
Beach wasn’t so sure everything was good back in August when the ankle injury happened. The high ankle sprain took 6-7 weeks to heal, he said.
