Doesn't look like he's been offered, but Brooks says that he has been contacted. It would also appear that he is not the leading candidate for the position.

I hope we are able to keep Sanders. IMO, he was a HUGE factor in the improved play of Andre. I also think he was a big help to Joker.

Ditto.
This is something we're just going to have to get used to as the program improves. The more success we have, the moreour coaches are going to be looked at for other jobs. It seems to be the nature of the beast these days.

Randy Sanders may not be at UK long, as he's destined to go on to bigger positions. UK is probably just a "recuperation job" en-route to rehabbing his career after UT.
Still, we need to open the checkbook and pay him big bucks to keep him.
Sanders was in the running for the job but Watson Brown got it. Brown resigned from UAB to take the job. IIRC this was Brown's first year and the Blazerswent 3-9. I agree that Sanders is likely a short-timer here and I'm glad we have him for however long he stays.

I likewise agree. Whew, I admit that I am relieved that Randy Sanders is still at UK.

We're not outta the clear on keeping Randy Sanders yet..Every team is gonna make a run at him before its over..I just hope with everything I got that UK can keep Sanders.... I can't believe the way the UT fans turned on him... You shoulda seen all the jokes and ridicules that had waiting on him down in Knoxville this past November! As a matter of fact, I really want UK to keep assts coach Sanders, Brown, Caragher, Heggins, Ortmayer, Petri, Phillips, and Smith along with Brooks...These guys are soo talented, soo experienced, and they will do wonders here if given the opportunity. I had the privilege of talking to most of them this season and they are very down to earth and really show their appreciation for thefans through their time andefforts and I hope when Brooks plans on retiring that he gives at least a one yr notice so that plans can be put in place to promote and keep these guys in the program.
