Additional Music City Bowl Tickets Available
A limited number of tickets have been acquired to the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl and will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday at 9 a.m. at the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office.
The tickets cost $35 or $15 each. They may be purchased in person at the ticket office with cash, check, or credit card. Tickets may be ordered over the phone by calling 1-800-928-CATS or (859) 257-1818. These tickets are not available online. The ticket office is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Originally allocated approximately 11,000 tickets, UK continued to acquire blocks of tickets as demand rose. To this point, Kentucky has sold almost 23,000 tickets to season-ticket holders, K-Fund members, and UK students.
I heard on the news that there were 1,500 tickets available for sale this morning, so get 'em while you can.

Anybody know if these are these unclaimed student tickets ? If so it would be another disappointing turn out by the student body similar to the lack of support for the home games this season.
I'm wondering whether they were returned from Clemson. They may not have used up all of their initial allotment.

The student section sold out from what I have been told. They did not alot the students that much, from what I have heard.
I believe that these were returned seats from Clemson... anybody, even Clemson fans could have bought these today.

Here's a post I made on Dec 7th, your probably right. I figured these would be available on ticketmaster and not sent to UK after they were unclaimed.
Clemson holds a monopoly on tickets
All other sources are sold out for the game

CLEMSON — The hottest tickets in Nashville can be found only in Clemson’s ticket office.
Music City Bowl officials announced Tuesday they had sold out of tickets for the Dec. 29 matchup between the Tigers and Kentucky, the second sellout in the bowl’s nine-year history.
“To do that in less than 48 hours after teams were announced shows quite an excitement level,” executive director Scott Ramsey said.
The Music City Bowl might be off the hook for the 64,000 tickets available at LP Field, but that does not mean Clemson fans can’t get good seats.
Between 11,000-12,000 tickets were distributed to Clemson — the minimum allotment is 10,000 — and going into Tuesday, the school had taken orders for about 6,000, athletics director Terry Don Phillips said.
Clemson is accepting orders from season-ticket holders and IPTAY donors through today.
Remaining tickets will be made available to the public on Saturday.
The Music City Bowl had sold about 20,000 locally before teams were revealed Sunday, and Kentucky scooped up 22,000 tickets it had pre-sold last week.
That left 7,000-8,000 loose tickets, the last of which were bought Tuesday afternoon.

It is unusual, but I guess we may never know why they returned them to UK... Perhaps it would be the most dependable source with regards to brokers buying high allotments and such.

Thanks for the link. That was an interesting read. I'm glad to see how well the UK fans have been doing at getting their hands on tickets. I checked ebay the other day out of curiousity and some of them were going for as much as $750-$1000. I had several friends make fun of me for getting UK Season Tickets and now are upset with me for not order extra tickets so they could get their hands on some to go to the bowl game...
