LEXINGTON - Seven Kentucky football players received various honors Thursday from the website CollegeFootballNews.com.
Receiver Keenan Burton and tight end Jacob Tamme were named to the CFN All-Southeastern Conference Team (only a first team was selected).
Burton caught 72 passes for 1,006 yards and 12 touchdowns this year and also led the SEC in all-purpose yardage. Tamme led the league's tight ends in pass receptions with 28 for 327 yards and one touchdown.
Burton, quarterback Andre Woodson and linebacker Wesley Woodyard were on CFN's list of the top 30 players in the SEC, regardless of position, with Woodson coming in at No. 10, Burton 14th and Woodyard 25th. Woodson led the league in passing yardage, total offense, and touchdown passes. Woodyard was second in the league in tackles with 110 stops.
