LOUISVILLE - In the aftermath of Louisville's 61-49 meltdown to Kentucky, the obvious question is which element of the Cardinals is more fractured, their shooting or their psyches?

U of L's shooting looked pretty bad yesterday, as the Cardinals bricked up 27 percent from the field, including an abysmal 3-for-24 (12.5 percent) from three-point range.

"It's pretty obvious that we're not a good shooting team," Louisville Coach Rick Pitino said.

It's not as if Louisville didn't get good shots. As Pitino said, the Cards ran their offense better than they have all season. But Louisville ran the gamut when it came to shooting ineptitude, missing open threes, contested threes, layups and tip-ins.

"That's the most open shots we've had," Pitino said. "That's the best we've reversed the ball, the best we've gone inside-out. Our guys did a good job of spacing and move. But we've got to make easy put-backs and two-point shots. We're not going to change the outside shooting; it is what is is. But those little bank shots, you've got to make those."
