LOUISVILLE - At least Lukasz Obrzut didn't need anyone to tell him just how important his play had been to Kentucky.
"This is my game of the year. I couldn't pick a better game to play well," said Obrzut after Kentucky's 61-49 win over Louisville Saturday.
Obrzut came into the game without a field goal since Nov. 22. He had played only 16 minutes in UK's previous six games.
When starting center Randolph Morris got in early foul trouble each half, the Wildcats looked like they might be in trouble. Instead, Obrzut responded with six points on 3-for-5 shooting and five rebounds in 26 physical minutes of play.
"He is the best screener we have," said UK coach Tubby Smith as he recalled a play where Obrzut's screen decked Louisville guard Jerry Smith to free Jodie Meeks for a 3-point shot. "He really doesn't mind doing the dirty work, so I appreciate what he does."
