8-3, haven't really beaten anybody yet, haven't really played anybody great, they did have a decent team in years past that showed up and knocked off a few.

Do they really have TEN freshmen on their roster?

They were the team that beat Raymond Felton-less UNC in their championship year, 2005.

I think phoenix's title is dead on, from what I've heard about them. Haven't seen them play though.

I don't think that roster is correct. On the ESPN roster it is different and on their own site it is different. Looks like a very experienced team to me.

Being from the Bay Area I can assure you that Santa Clara will be ready to play.

The WCN Gameday thread is now up if anybody wants to dissect the Broncos. I think the will be an especially tough game coming of the emotional win over UL. Morris, Perry and Crawford better show up for this one.

Santa Clara is coming of a 16 point win over Stanford, beat Utah by 11 points and looked pretty good in losing by 8 to a dang good Nevada team. The guys better not be looking past this one.

Hard to get a read on them due to the fact that they have kind of circular regional scheduling out there. Hard to determine who has something, because nobody has really gone out and played other national powers yet. It is primarily a west coast schedule without any top ranked teams yet. May be good, may not, difficult to get a good read this early. In the past Santa Clara has put out some good teams.

It should be an interesting game, might be a toughie if KY is flat.

Santa Clara looks to control tempo, play solid defense, and work their offense. Similar to Miami Ohio. (And similar to us.)

They've got a TREMENDOUS amount of size. They have two 6'11" guys who are in their top 3 in scoring, and they are outrebounding their opponents by 9 a game. They've got a 7-footer, a kidnamed Josh Higgins, who transferred from Western Kentucky.

On the other side of the coin, they do not shoot the 3 that well, and they turn it over quite a bit. Like the Cats, their assist:turnover ratio is nothing to write home about.

It's gonna be a fight is all I know.

I believe we have two tough games coming up in Santa Clara and UMASS. These are two teams that may very well be in the field of 64 come March. I am really starting to like this team. Considering the schedule we have played so far, it can only prepare us for better things to come.
