Oklahoma just got lucky as all get out
BSU hanging on for dear life. Reminds me of the WVU-UGA game last year. OKL over looked little ole BSU and came out flat as can be. They are fighting their way back into it but it may be too little too late.

I think that pick-6 just won the game for Oklahoma...
Rockober

What a game. Oklahoma scores a td and a two point conversion and ties the game. They then intercept a Boise pass and score. Oklahoma up by 7 with a minute to go.

Go Boise!!!!!!
That was some great play calling by Boise at the end of regulation, and in OT. The lateral was brilliant. Going for 2 was showing some big balls.
Great to see the underdog pull it out on such a huge stage.

Some old school plays. The Boise kids were gutsy. I believe we will see three or four plays on Sportscenter as Plays of the Day in the last 3 minutes of thisgame!!

This is why they should have a playoff!!! Let the kids decide instead of money and media.

The best college game I've seen.
And now Boise's running back after being interviewed surprise pops the question to his cheerleader girl friend. She said yes.
OMG this is great theater.

THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE PLAY CALLING AND EXECUTION I'VE EVER SEEN! AN UNTHINKABLE FINISH....and to top it all off their star RB Ian Johnson proposes to his head-cheerleader girlfriend, and of course, she says yes!!
I am sooooo glad I stayed up and watched this.......ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE

Call me bandwagon-but I will have to buy a Boise hat or t-shirt. The last time I did this was when Weber State beat UNC in the NCAA basketball tourney. I was living in North Carolina at the time and I did that just to make the tar holes fans mad.

I am just speechless. I cannot believe the plays that Boise St. called and executed to win that game.
Going for 2 in the 1st OT??
Lateral off the completion for a TD on 4th and 18??
Changing formations twice in back to back plays and having your receiver throw the TD pass in OT???
Running the Statue of Liberty behind the back misdirection hand-off for the 2pt conversion??
I mean come on?!?!?! Who has the guts to call those plays????
Just INCREDIBLE. That's all I can say

Absolutely one of the best college games ever, imo, and, I think in everyone elses opinion also.
My daughter and I had sat up watching a movie, since she was last night off before school starts back, and after the movie I was channel surfing to see what happened on some of the other bowls, and tuned in just as OK was making it's drive for the tying touchdown in the last two minutes. I thought it was cool they made it and then cool that they could make the 2 pt conversion with less than 2 minutes left. Little did I suspect that it was the first of 5 touchdowns to be made before the game was decided. Dang! Lucky break for me. Watching it unfold,it just seemed miraculous. You can see the plays, but don't get the sense of drama, and 11th hour reprieves, that you get from seeing it unfold live.
"Pre-ordained", often used but seldom viewed. :thumbup:thumbup

One thing about Boise going for 2 in the fisrt OT. They had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
And yes, it made it difficult to go to sleep.

The two best college football games I have ever seen were last years championship game and now this Fiesta Bowl. I am in agreement with Rockober. I am going to go buy a Boise State hat. Oklahoma and Boise State are the two winningest programs since 1999. They played like fierce rivals going for the title. Man what a game!

I thought the last few minutes of regulation and the overtime were as exciting as any game I have seen, but I would not say the game ranked with the best of all time. Personally, as a bowl game, I thought last year's national championship game was much better from start to finish.
But, I love Boise State's coach. Gutsy, creative, had his team ready, - think Hawkins misses him at CU?

I am biased, butI thought the Arkansas/UK multi-overtime game was better than last night's game. The overtime victory over Bama was the best game I attended in person.

I was surprised they didn't go for the kill at the end of regulation.
I watched it all and saw Boise score in OT and figured they would kick the PAT and go to another OT so I went to bed. Can't believe they went for 2. I think it was the right call though. They were running on empty. OU was scoring at will late.

Actually it was three trick plays back-to-back-to-back! The hook & ladder, then the backup wr moves behind center while qb goes in motion and the wr throws the td pass in ot; then the modified Statue of Liberty play for the 2-pt conversion. Amazing! To call three trick plays in a row is one thing but then to actually execute all three to perfection is the most unbelievable sports sequence I have ever witnessed in my almost 50 years!
scoring plays in a row. Still insane no matter how you slice it!]

Reading here, I have just turned on the television to watch the highlights. I am a night-owl, besides a sports nut, and I would have normally stayed up for every minute of the game. Yet, I was really sick (and ammuch betterthis morning, thankfully)and could hardly watch the game at all.Deciding to sleep on the couch in the basement, I turned off the basement television with Boise State with the big lead. :(
Anyway, thanks to you guys, I have now watched the highlights! WOW! The lateral and the two-point conversion were UNREAL! Congratulations, Boise State! :)

That was a fantastic game! It was also proclaimedthat Oklahoma and Boise St. are the twowinningest teams since 1989.
The trick plays, the massive guts by Boise St. to go for 2, then the porposal....and late at night like that was kinda neat too!:D

At first, I wanted Boise St to win because I wanted to see OK and the Big 12 take a loss but now it seems to have gotten out of hand. I'm not a big fan of this odds against the world little teams. This reminds me of the way the UK-Texas Western game was marketed as well as the USC-Texas game and the George Mason FF run. If they make a movie after this team it should be called Little Giants 2. I also hate to see the mid-majors doing good because that strenghtens the rule of only 2 teams per conference in the BCS. Blue is my favorite color but that smurf turf is awful. They need to change it or darken the blue. I wouldn't mind UK playing on royal grass because it could be called Bluegrass. I don't see how Boise got a Bowl game over the newer and bigger facilities out west. I feel sorry for OK fans having tosee replays of this over and over and over every second of the day.

i thought this game was the best one i've witnessed. IMO, the uk/arkansas game doesn't come close because of what was at stake. it was a BCS bowl with an undefeated season on the line.

scoring plays in a row. Still insane no matter how you slice it.If I remember correctly there were more than 3 trick plays involved in those touchdowns. I actually believe there were at least a couple more in those last series that did not work. They made most of their yardage on straightforward plays, but when the trick plays DID work, zonkers!, touchdowns!
