Geaux Irish !! They took a early attempt at a knock out punch by LSU and they are fighting back.

If Saban still coached this talent..we'd be watching LSU play OSU on the 7th.

ND is taking right at LSU and seems to be wearing them out.
I bet no RB has had 100 yards in the first half on the LSU defense this year.

Russel just flipped that ball 50 yards in the air. He is a total beast. I just wish he was a better QB.

LSU up by 20. Notre Dame should not be in a BCS game this year. What a joke. There needs to be a playoff.

LSU is as good as any team in the country..
ESPN even picked them when they did their imaginary playoff.

41-14 LSU with 7:27 left.
It still baffles me that LSU lost 2 games this year. They have more talent top to bottom than any team in the country IMO.
I know turnovers did them in. They almost seem like they just turn it on when they have to, but when the unexpected happens, that's when they're vulnerable.
They are another reason why a playoff system would be so great. You have one bad game, or a few bad plays or breaks, and all of a sudden you have no shot at a Championship.
They have totally dominated ND in the 2nd half, just like I knew they would.

Beating a team that has been beat 8 years in a row doesn't make a best team in the country.

Nobody said that it did.
Anyhow, it was nice to see the "Annointed Ones" get their butts handed to them.

Notre Dame had no business being in a BCS game. To ranked teams, they lost by an average of about 24 points. ND should have been playing UK in the Music City Bowl. Its a joke how over-rated they are year in and year out. It's criminal how the BCS allows ND to part of the big games and money when they are not deserving. 9 straight bowl losses!

Last night's game affirms that ND wasn't as good as their ranking suggests. LSU is certainly is an excellent team, but ND helped make them look better than a more worthy team may have last night.

Like they helped make Michigan and USC look better. All blowouts to three legit BCS teams.

Having the best talent doesn't neccessarily make the best team. You have to coach that talent, and there has to be chemistry.

I guessed 38-10, LSU, and 41-14 is pretty close. I didn't think that the golden domers had any shot against a physical SEC team.

All along, I had said that I would love to see LSU against Ohio State. While I will be pulling for Florida and know that they may pull off the upset, I would feel much better about our chances in the national championship game if LSU were representing the SEC.
Iwas really rooting for an LSU-Mich Rose Bowl. That would have been really interesting. I think LSU would have done the same thing USC did to them, destroy them.

Since I'm the one that said it, let me clarify.
After seeing all these teams play,my position isLSU has as much or more talentthan anybody, and is more than capable of beating Florida and Ohio St. LSU did lose 2 games so they do not meet the current requirements to play in the "Championship Game". I believe however, in a playoff system, LSU would be very capable of beating everybody and be the Champion. The voters have that same opinion too, ranking them #4 w/ those 2 losses. They will likely be #2 or #3 after the Championship Game Monday w/ 2 LOSSES.
Basically I believe LSU has the ability to dominate anybody when they are on their game. It's a shame Les Miles couldn't motivate them and coach them to use that overwhelming talent to avoid those 2 tough losses.
So, yes, I believe LSU is the best team in the country, when they want to be. On any given night any team can look like the best team in the country, but more often to me LSU looked like this team.I believe LSU is the most completely dominating team and most talented team from top to bottom. LSU unfortunately was not focused or motivated enough in a couple games to make the plays to win those games.
I'm not an LSU fan at all,I'm just a fanof a playoff system. It's rediculous that teams that havethe ability towin a Championship are not given the chance todoso unless theyare chosen to play in one single game of the year. You can make the argument that the entire season is a playoff, but that is just not the way it should beIMO.
If you want an analogy, how about last year's UConn b-ball team. They were clearly the most talented and dominating team, but they slipped up in one game and did not fulfill their expected Championship potential.

And many of those nine were blowouts like this one. It is plain as day that Notre Dame is routinely overrated in the polls and given bowl bids that it does not deserve, while better teams end up in lesser bowls as a result.
